Note: Only one elective is required to complete the Canvas Certified Technical Admin certification.

In this course, you'll explore the Canvas API and learn how it can pull data, update data, and automate tasks in your Canvas instance.  This course was designed with the understanding that participants will have a wide range of background experience and knowledge. The primary goal of the course is to provide exposure to Canvas API and an opportunity to see the tools in action. While a background in coding or programming is helpful, it is not required. Developing API solutions for your institution takes time, practice, and in many cases, trial and error.  Completing this course is not contingent on your ability to successfully run or build your API. We want you to focus on where the Canvas API might fit into your Administrative toolbelt.
